To dosyć zabawne,
że kraj którego nie planowałam zobaczyć, stał się moim ulubionym miejscem w
Azji Południowo-Wschodniej. Do Filipin, bo to o nich mowa, przyleciałam
wspólnie z kilkoma blogerami z Azji, a naszym zadaniem było odkrywanie
najpiękniejszych zakątków Palawanu i podzielenie się wrażeniami z czytelnikami
naszych blogów.
Naszą przygodę
zaczęliśmy od El Nido, które jest bardzo popularnym resortem plażowym na wyspie
Palawan. Największą atrakcją tego miejsca są wycieczki po wysepkach archipelagu
Bacuit. Znajdziemy na nich bezkresne plaże z białym piaskiem, wysokie klify,
tropikalne lasy, góry, jaskinie oraz przede wszystkim idylliczne rafy koralowe
z przejrzystą, lazurową wodą. Zatoki wokół El Nido kryją w sobie prawdziwe
skarby: koralowce, setki różnorodnych ryb. To właśnie dlatego Palawan nazywany
jest rajem wśród miłośników nurkowania i snorkelingu. Ja nie odważyłam się na nurkowanie, ale snorkeling na tutejszych rafach koralowych sprawił mi mnóstwo frajdy i w
porównaniu do Tajlandii, Malezji czy Bali uważam, że pod tym względem Filipiny nie mają
sobie równych.

It's quite funny that a country I hadn’t planned to visit became
my favorite place in Southeast Asia. I arrived in the Philippines with a few
Asian bloggers to discover hidden gems of Palawan and share our thoughts
through our blogs.
We started our adventure in El Nido, which is a very popular
beach resort on the Palawan island. The biggest attraction in Palawan are trips
around the islands of the Bacuit archipelago. We found endless beaches with
white sand, high cliffs, tropical forests, mountains, caves and idyllic coral
reefs with crystal clear water. The bays around El Nido is the host to some
real treasures: corals, hundreds of different fish. This is why Palawan well
known as a paradise among diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. Although I didn’t dive,
snorkeling on the local coral reefs was magnificent. I have experienced some
great snorkeling in Thailand, Malaysia and Bali but my standout best experience
was in the Philipines. There is no comparison.
Najpopularniejszą
formą spędzania czasu w El Nido, poza plażowaniem, snorkelowaniem i nurkowaniem
jest tzw. island hopping, czyli wycieczka łodzią po okolicznych wysepkach. Trwa ona cały dzień, a łódka na swojej trasie zatrzymuje się
na najpiękniejszych plażach, lagunach i zatokach. Tras jest naprawdę sporo i
żeby zobaczyć wszystkie należałoby przeznaczyć co najmniej kilkanaście dni. My ze względu na dość napięty harmonogram wybraliśmy
najpopularniejsze wycieczki o nazwach A oraz C. Generalnie wszystkie wycieczki
oferowane przez biura podróży w El Nido mają nazwy A,B,C,D
i E.
Wycieczka A obejmuje: Big Lagoon, Small Lagoon, Simizu
Island, Secret Lagoon i 7 Commandos Beach. Zaczyna się ok. 9 i trwa do ok. 16. Wycieczka C zatrzymuje się na: Hidden
Beach, Helicopter Island, Secret Beach, Matinloc Shrine i Star Beach. Moje
ulubione miejsca na tej trasie to z pewnością Big Lagoon i Simizu Island.
Mogłabym tam zostać na zawsze! Jedynym miejscem, które niespecjalnie przypadło
mi do gustu to Secret Lagoon, która nie jest już taka tajemnicza i w tłumie
turystów ciężko było dostrzec jej urok.

Naturally many people would spend their time in El Nido
sunbathing, snorkeling and diving, as well as island hopping – an enjoyable boat trip around
the surrounding islands. It usually lasts all day, and the boat stops on the most
beautiful beaches, lagoons and bays. There is a range of different tours
covering the many beautiful sites. I was limited with time and decided to enjoy
the most recommended tours: A and C; but there were 5 tours available in total
for me to choose from (A, B, C, D and E).
Tour A included: Big Lagoon, Small Lagoon, Simizu Island,
Secret Lagoon and 7 Commandos Beach. The tour started around 9 a.m. and lasted
until roughly 4 p.m. Trip C stopped at Hidden Beach, Helicopter Island, Secret
Beach, Matinloc Shrine and Star Beach.
My favorite places on this route were definitely the Big
Lagoon and Simizu Island. I could have stayed there forever! The only place
that I was disappointed with was the Secret Lagoon. It’s no longer the hidden
gem it once was and it’s “secret” has been revealed and spoiled by the crowds
of tourists.

polecić ich usługi. Na Filipinach korzystałam jeszcze z kilku innych biur
podróży i wycieczki z Northern Hope Tours były moim najlepszym doświadczeniem.
Koszt
jednodniowej wyprawy wynosi ok. 1200 - 1400 pesos za osobę wliczając: lunch, maskę do
podwodnego nurkowania i przewodnika, który swoją drogą był niesamowity! Ryan
nie dość, że dbał o nasze bezpieczeństwo i z pasją opowiadał o najbardziej urokliwych zakątkach El Nido, to jeszcze okazał się być wspaniałym fotografem.
Najbardziej zaimponował mi fakt, że wykonuje tę pracę między innymi dlatego,
żeby wspomóc finansowo swoje młodsze rodzeństwo w nauce <3.

In the Philippines, I tried several travel agencies for my trip
arrangements, but hand on heart, Northern Hope Tours created the best overall
impression. The full tour program can be found on their website.
The cost of the trips ranged between 1200 – 1400 pesos per
person. This included: lunch, snorkeling mask and a personal guide. On the day
of our tour, Ryan was assigned to be our guide. Not only did he take care of us and guide us through the tour, he was
very passionate and knowledgeable about El Nido. He was a great photographer
capturing some great memories on our day. But what impressed me most, was the
fact that Ryan does this job not only to support himself but also to fund his
younger sibling’s education. <3
Jedyną
niedogodnością, o której należy wspomnieć, szczególnie jeśli planujecie
pracować tu zdalnie, jest bardzo powolny Internet lub jego zupełny brak. Z
drugiej strony takie odcięcie od świata ma wiele pozytywów, o czym z resztą
napisałam osobny artykuł. Znajdziecie go tutaj.

The only inconvenience I would mention about this trip would
be the very slow or unreliable Internet access. I personally was not bothered
by this situation, however, if you needed to work remotely this might be an
issue. On the other hand, a cut-off from the world has its advantages - which I
wrote about in a separate article.
